Bret PetersÂ
Bret is a seasoned Canadian aviation professional, holding a diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technologies, a Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence, FAA Mechanic’s Certificate in the Airframe and Powerplant categories, and a University degree in Business Management. Enticed by his early start in a corporate aviation department, he’s always strived to broaden his horizons by pursuing knowledge and experience in different areas of Civil Aviation.
He's unearthed an abundance of real-life industry experience in maintaining and managing numerous aircraft of various types and holding different posts in private, corporate, and commercial aviation environments before his latest adventure, in Aviation Regulation.
About midway through his career, he was pulled into the realm of Regulatory Authorities. This journey began with his becoming a Transport Canada Minister’s Delegate – Maintenance, which over time morphed into being a full-fledged Civil Aviation Safety Inspector with Transport Canada.
Meanwhile, always in pursuit of expansion and knowledge, in a whirlwind, he found himself with another aviation Regulatory body; the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands.
